Delphine J. Segers
A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Delphine June Segers will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 4, 2018 at the Missionary Baptist Church with Kurt England and Shannon O’Bryan co-officiating. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in the Veteran’s Section.
Visitation for Delphine will be held from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Delphine was born on March 2, 1934 at Fowler, Kansas to Leonard J. and Emma Ethel (Gordon) Austin and passed away on May 27, 2018 at the Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 84.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul “Gene” Segers; her parents, her son, Olen Segers, her brothers, Gene Austin, Dean Austin, Bill Austin, Jack Austin and Leonard “L.D.” Austin, granddaughter, Shawna Marie Segers and great-granddaughters, Jade Nolen and Phoebe Segers.
Delphine is survived by her children, Darrel (Terry) Segers of Grand Junction, CO; Dave (Diana) Segers of Lamar, Kaylene (Brad) Pierce of Hillrose, CO and Darlene (Chuck) Laurent of Laconia, NH as well as 22 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends also survived.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
