Debbie A. Zavala
A mass of Christian burial for longtime Lamar resident, Debbie L. Zavala will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Mariusz Wirkowski as celebrant. A rosary service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30AM at the church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
A closed casket visitation for Debbie will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Debbie was born on October 7, 1969 at Rocky Ford, Colorado to Ismael Enrique and Madelana M. (Trujillo) Vargas-Garcia and passed away on March 9, 2019 at the Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her family by her side at the age of 49.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel “Meme” Zavala and her grandfather, Manuel Vargas.
Debbie is survived by her significant other, Alfred Ray Adame of the family home in Lamar, children, Juan Zavala, Adam Zavala and Christina Vargas all of Lamar, Colorado; step-children, Nathanial (Mercedes) Adame of Lamar, Nathalija (Benjamin) Adame-Hernandez of Lamar, Nillyanna Adame of Guymon, OK; grandchildren, Adam Zavala, Jr. and Zoella Hernandez and one on the way and her parents, Ismael and Madelana Vargas-Garcia of Lamar. She is also survived by her siblings, Lupe Vargas, Anita (David) Zavala and Carolina (Brad) Fisher all of Lamar, Theresa (Thomas) Ramos of Holly, CO, Jessica (Jacob) Guerreo and Crystal Valdez both of Amarillo, TX as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Debbie Zavala Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
