At the time her parents were living in Fowler, CO and operating Gordy’s Dry Cleaning shop. In 1942, Gordon was offered a job to return to the railroad as an agent in Holly, Colorado so DeAnne at the age of three moved with her family to Holly. In 1943 the family transferred to Lamar where Gordon assumed the railroad night agent position in Lamar. There she remained the rest of her years attending Lamar public schools graduating in 1957, and Lamar Junior College graduating in 1960.
In 1961 she married Kenneth Tyner and together they raised three girls, Taryn, Jana and Jodi. Brud and Dee as they were known operated KenDee’s Dry Cleaners for several years in Lamar. The flood of 1965 destroyed the dry cleaning shop. DeAnne then took a job with the Sears Catalog Store as a credit manager. In 1970 she went to work for the Lamar Credit Bureau and in 1973 she went to work for Prowers County in the Administration office. She was later appointed deputy administrator for the county commissioners, a position she held for 28 years. In 2001 she transferred to public transit and community services department with Prowers County and in 2002 added the volunteer job of facility coordinator for the Community Resource and Senior Center. DeAnne retired after thirty-eight years working for Prowers County and the residents.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Tyner, daughter Tamara Ann Tyner and her parents.
