A graveside celebration of life for Granada resident Brian “Scotty” Schibbelhut was held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.
Visitation for Scotty was held from 1:00PM until 4:00PM on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Scotty was born on November 26, 1970 at Lamar, Colorado to Alex and Thelma (Spitzer) Schibbelhut and passed away on March 31, 2016 at the home of his sister in Granada, Colorado at the age of 45.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alex Schibbelhut and numerous aunts and uncles.
Scotty is survived by his mother Thelma Schibbelhut of Holly and his siblings; Donald Schibbelhut of Mayview, MO, Larry Schibbelhut of Denver, Dale Schibbelhut also of Dacono, CO, Kay Grasmick of Pueblo West, Wanda Schibbelhut of Granada and Anne “Bunny” (Alan) Hoskins of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by his uncles Edwin Spitzter, Clyde (Pat) Spitzer, Harry (Flossie) Spitzer; aunts Lola McElroy and Norma Boggio as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Special Olympics either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
