Bonifacio Reyes
A Funeral Mass for Lamar resident Bonifacio Reyes was held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 2, 2015, 2015 with Reverend Mariusz Wirkowski as celebrant. A Rosary Service for Mr. Reyes was held prior to the Mass at 9:30 AM with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. Both services were held at the St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation for Bonifacio was held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 3:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Bonifacio was born on May 14, 1928 at Sain Alto, Zacatecas, Mexico to Gonzalo and Francisca (Reyes) Diaz and passed away on November 28, 2015 at the Lamar Estates at the age of 87.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Maria De Jesus, Gaudalupe and Concepsion as well as his two infant daughters.
Bonifacio is survived by his wife of 65 years, Julia Reyes of the family home in Lamar; children, Manuel (Antonia) Reyes of Lamar; Ismael (Imelda) Reyes of Dodge City, KS; Zenaida (Gumaro) Chavez of Lamar; Ubaldo (Ramona) Reyes of Dodge City, KS; Francisca Gomez of Salem, NM; Elva (Raymundo) Macias of Lamar; Eloisa (Primi) Quiroz of Dumas, TX and Miguel (Sanjuana) Reyes of Lamar and his brother, Odillon Diaz of Hatch, NM. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews as well as other family and a host of friends.
