Robert D. “Bob” Fritz
A Celebration of Life for longtime Two Buttes resident and currently from Lamar, Robert D. “Bob” Fritz was held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Lamar Christian Church with Ray Matteson officiating. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery.
Visitation for Bob was held from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at the Peacock Funeral Home.
Bob was born on May 1, 1923 at Lycan, Colorado, to Bertrum and Bessie LaRue (Cassady) Fritz and passed away at his home with his daughters by his side on Monday, December 23, 2013 at the age of 90.
He is preceded in death by his wife Juanita A. “Nita” Fritz on June 23, 2010, parents, his twin sister Ramona Walker; as well as his other siblings -Ruth Benson, Bill Fritz, Margaret Elliott, June Fritz and Jean Reynolds.
Bob is survived by his daughters; Faye Austin and Marilyn Pettinger both of Two Buttes. His grandchildren; Corey (Tiffany) Pettinger, Brett (Abby) Pettinger, Kayle Austin, Kye Austin, great granddaughters Anabelle, Lynley, Adalyn, Emma, and Rory as well as his brothers-in-law; Joe Walker and Clarence Reynolds both of Lamar survive. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice either directly or through the funeral home office.
