A celebration of life for longtime Manzanola, Colorado resident, Billy Dykes will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta, Colorado. Per Billy’s request cremation will follow the services.
Visitation for Billy will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 9:00AM until time of service at the Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta, Colorado.
Billy was born on June 27, 1943 at Jay, Oklahoma to Seamen F. and Frona A. (Whyndham) Dykes and passed away on May 23, 2015 at the Bent County Health Care Center in Las Animas at the age of 71.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Sunny, Hobert and Norman; and three sisters, Edith, Estalee and Senith.
Billy is survived by his two daughters, Billie Jo (Greg) Knight of Hasty; and Vickie (Karl Niedens) Dykes of Wiley, seven grandchildren and one sister, Edna Howe of Phoenix, AZ. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
