William J. “Bill” Lutz
A memorial Mass for former Bristol resident and current Lamar resident, William J. “Bill” Lutz was held at 10:00 AM Wednesday July 22, 2015 at the St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar with Father Stephen Olamolu. A private family in-urnment service will be held at a later date in the Sunnyslope Cemetery in Bristol, Colorado.
A rosary service for Bill was held at 9:30 AM prior to the memorial Mass also at St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar, led by Deacon Alan Medina.
Per Bill’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.
Bill Lutz was born on March 27, 1921 in Wright, Kansas to John Lutz and Mary Hartman-Lutz and departed this life on Saturday July 18, 2015 at the Lamar Estates at the age of 94.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers – John Lutz and Phillip J. Lutz; as well as by six sisters – Sister Mark; Sister Canisius; Josephine Strecker; Sister Mary Jane; Emma Burke; and Catherine Knober.
Bill is survived by one sister – Lucile Kitten of Salina, KS; and by one sister-in-law – Yong Ja Lutz of Springfield, MO as well as by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice or to a charity of donor’s choice either directly or through the funeral home office.
