Betty Lou Beck
A memorial service of celebration for Lamar resident, Betty Lou Beck, was held at 10:00 AM Friday January 6, 2012 at the Lamar Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.Elder Marcelino Dodge conducted the service. A private Interment of the ashes took place at the Hartman Cemetery in Hartman, Colorado that afternoon.
Per Betty Lou’s request, cremation has taken place and there was no public visitation.
Betty Lou Beck was born on September 14, 1931 in Hartman, Colorado to Dale Owen and Mable Mae (Mason) Marston and departed this life on Sunday January 1, 2012 at Parkview Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado at the age of 80.
Mrs. Beck was preceded in death by her parents, by one infant son, by her husband-John C. Beck III and by two brothers – Walter Marston and Earl Marston.
Betty Lou Beck is survived by two daughters – Anna (Michael) Fezatte of Anchorage, AK and Johanna (Steven) Morris of Bamberg, Germany; by three grandchildren – Morgan Marie Olson, Charles Michael Fezatte, and Coderett Morris; by three siblings – Robert (Ernestine) Marston of Lamar; Irene (James) Strother of Wichita, KS; and Raymond (Nancy) Marston of Topeka, KS. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services for Betty Lou Beck are under the direction of the Peacock Family, providing our neighbors with four generations of trust and service.
