A graveside service for longtime Lamar resident, Betty L. Kiniston will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Hartman Cemetery with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.
Visitation for Betty will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Betty was born on March 25, 1927 at Alton, Kansas to Lyman T. and Orpha P. (Hanks) French and passed away on July 7, 2018 at her home in Lamar at the age of 91.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Kiniston; son, Kalum E. “Ken” Kiniston; daughter, Barbara Jean Shelton; her parents; brother, Bill French; infant brother Donald E. French and an infant sister.
Betty is survived by her children, Patricia Duncan of Alta Loma, CA, Donald Kiniston of Eureka Springs, AR, Judy DeFino and Tammie Jennings both of Lamar, twelve grandchildren, twenty eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Aniseta “Josie” French as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
