A celebration of life memorial service for longtime Lamar resident, Barbara Ann Baker will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating.
Per Barbara’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Barbara was born on April 4, 1931 at Lu Verne, Iowa to Ernest Carl and Mary Margaret (Hinz) Meyer and passed away on January 25, 2019 at her home in Lamar at the age of 87.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Baker, daughter, Anita Marie Potts, infant son, Timothy Baker and her parents.
Barbara is survived by her children, Jill Baker of the family home in Lamar and Mike (Rhonda) Baker of Canyon, TX; grandchildren, Shelby, Lindsey (Kody) and Cassidy and her great-grandchildren, Boston and Emersyn. She is also survived by her sister, Ellen Brown of Creston, IA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice and/or the Lamar Christian Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
