A celebration of life memorial service for longtime McClave resident, Arleta B. Allen will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the McClave United Methodist Church with Pastor Gary Pritchard of the Hasty Friends Church officiating.
Per Arleta’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Arleta was born on July 23, 1929 at Hasty, Colorado to Leonidas and Zelda Aletha (Longacre) Branom and passed away on February 2, 2019 at her home in McClave with her family by her side at the age of 89.
She is preceded in death by her sons, Kelly Allen and Michael Allen, her parents and her brothers, Donald Branom, Bill Branom and Lawrence “Jake” Branom.
Arleta is survived by her children, Patrick Allen of Hartsel, CO, Cindy (Marty) Falconburg of Lamar, Sandy Halford of Corvallis, OR, Diana Tixier of Lamar and Scott Allen of McClave, CO, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild with one on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Sam (Sue) Branom of Yuma, CO and step-children, Virgil Barber and Jimmy James Barber both of La Junta, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the McClave State Bank in memory of Arleta B. Allen either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
