A Funeral Liturgy for lifetime Lamar resident, Anita Adame-Hernandez, was held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at the St. Frances de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Lamar. A rosary service was held prior to the Liturgy at 9:30AM also at the Church. Deacon Henry Wertin precided over both services. A Rite of Committal was held at Riverside Cemetery.
Per Anita’s request there was no public viewing.
Anita was born on October 12, 1917 at Lamar, Colorado to Manuel E. and Luciana (Hernandez) Adame and passed away on August 8, 2012 at her home in Lamar at the age of 94.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Rufigio Hernandez, parents; and her sons; Fred L. Hernandez and Frank Hernandez.
Anita is survived by her children; Annie (Damasio) Aleman of Torrington, Wyoming and Leo (Barbara) Hernandez of Lamar, ten grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister; Eleanor (Jess) Franco of Lamar and special friends; Pedro, Juanita, Nayeli and Edgar as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the Peacock Funeral Home.
