Everett Alan Whaley
Graveside services for longtime Lamar resident, Everett A. “Grizz” Whaley will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor John Morrison of the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Everett was born on January 20, 1957 at Denver, Colorado to Carl Everett and Paola Pearl (Barrow) Whaley and passed away at his home in Lamar on January 3, 2009 at the age of 51.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew Alan Lee Estes.
Everett is survived by his sisters; Charlene (Delbert) Pearson of Lamar and Trulene Whaley of Abilene, Texas, brother; Gerald (Kristy) Zordel of Brighton, Colorado, special friend Terry Epp of Lamar, nephew; Sam (Candace) Zordel of Wiley, Danial (Amie) Zordel of Florence, Kentucky, Niece, Kara Zordel of New York, New York, step-nephews; Brandon (Kara) Pearson of Durango, Colorado and Sheldon Pearson of Lamar. He is also survived by his great-nephew; Cadence Zordel of Wiley, and great-nieces; Samantha “Cait” Zordel of Wiley, Heile and Rylee Pearson of Durango, Cailen, Abby and Elana Zordel all of Florence, Kentucky, aunt; Aldene (Pat) Barrow of Bristol, uncle; George (Zora) Johnson of Farmington, New Mexico as well as numerous cousins, other family and many friends.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of choice in care of the funeral home office.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Family.

| We were so sorry to hear about Everett. We think about Trulene and Everett and remember many memories in elementary school. We are truly sorry, and if Trulene is ever around, Shana (Rinehart) is still in the Lamar area and Veronica (Tixier)is in Tuscon so we would love to hear from you. |
