Alan Van Buskirk

A Memorial Service for longtime Lamar resident, Alan VanBuskirk was held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor John Morrison of the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church officiating.

Per Alan’s request cremation took place and there was no public visitation.

Alan was born on September 23, 1952 at Garden City, Kansas to Fred F. Van Buskirk and Maxine Segers and passed away on August 24, 2010 at Prowers Medical Center at the age of 57.

He is preceded in death by his father; Fred F. Van Buskirk and nephew; Chance Van Buskirk.

Alan is survived by his mother; Maxine (Jerry) Beard of Kingston, Oklahoma, siblings; Greg Van Buskirk of Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Angela (Lusian) Johnson of Blanchard, Oklahoma and Tracy Van Buskirk of Kingston, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his nephews; Sheldon Van Buskirk and Luke Johnson, nieces; Chelsey and Caitlyn Johnson, as well as his many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
