My Aunt Evelyn saved my life one day. As a young child I drank gasoline from a Coke bottle by mistake. I went in the house wanting a drink of water and she was having coffee with my Mom. She smelled the gasoline on my breath, forced me to drink raw eggs, threw me in the car and raced to Sacred Heart. Into the emergency room we went, and by the time Dr McClure got there, she had my stomach pumped and everything under control. As everyone knows, she wasted no time getting things done. I nicknamed her 'Emma' when I was little and she always got a kick out of that. She was very special to me as far back as I can remember.

for Evelyn Schultheis- Working with Evelyn at PMC for many years proved to be interesting and rewarding. She was a strong woman (and nurse) and you knew where you stood with her. She helped me deliver my first baby in 1974. While in the delivery room I needed her anesthesia services...and I was really happy to see her come in. She said "I just put a pie in the oven when I got the call to come to the hospital...but oh well.." She knew she was needed. I know she will be missed. Linda (Wisler) Springer |

To the Family of Evelyn Schultheis, A special lady has gone from us. I have known Evelyn as long as I can remember. She worked with my mom at Sacred Heart, back in the day. When Mom was briefly at Juniper Village, she and Evelyn had their heads together, trading stories and having lots of good laughs. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
