Evelyn McGrath

A private family service will be held for longtime Lamar resident, Evelyn E. McGrath.

Per Evelyn’s request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.

Evelyn was born on May 16, 1915 at Wabash, Indiana to Harry Neil and Mable (Anderson) Sharp and passed away on May 7, 2009 at her home in Lamar with her family by her side.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Leslie Leonard, her parents, siblings; Vernon Marie and Lewis Benton, infant sister; Rose Mary Jewel and a grandson; Larry McGrath, Jr.

Evelyn is survived by her children; Larry Neal (Karleen) McGrath of North pole, Alaska, Michael Lee (Leona) McGrath of Marysville, California, Jewel (Robert) Cash of Calimesa, California, Karen Elaine (Kenneth) Day of Lamar and Brenda Ellen (Dennis) Pyle of Humboldt, Iowa. She is also survived by her 13 Grandchildren as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the funeral home office.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
