Balbina Ledesma

A Rosary Service was held for longtime Granada, CO resident, Balbina Ledesma at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at the St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Holly, Colorado with Olivia Ramos reciting.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dexter, New Mexico.

The Rite of Committal will follow the Mass at the Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman, New Mexico.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home.

Balbina was born March 31, 1926 at Karnes City, Texas to Cruz and Guadalupe (Langoria) Quintero and passed away on February 27, 2010 at Prowers Medical Center, with her family by her side at age 83.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Leon J. Ledesma, son; Pete Jose Ledesma, daughter; Maria Pabla Ortiz and her parents.

Balbina is survived by her children; Daniel Jose Ledesma of Lovington, New Mexico, Ester Maria (Ramon) Morales of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Retta Delores (Jose) Pizarro of Lamar, Alberto Ledesma of Ulysses, Kansas, Rosie Lee Maria (Eleuterio) Vega of Johnson, Kansas, Yolanda Joanne Rios (Emilo Rodriguez) of Dalhart, Texas, Connie Lee (Rumaldo) Vega of Granada. She is also survived by her 28 Grandchildren, 32 Great-Grandchildren, sisters; Sulema Barron of Ulysses, Kansas and Maria Sanchez of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Balbina Ledesma memorial fund in care of the funeral home office.
