I'll miss you, my good friend. We had some great times together during our four years at Fort Lewis College on and off campus. What a great motor bike trip to Silverton with Randy Loring! I still have the pictures from my Instamatic. We studied hard and played hard. Sorry I missed you. I'm still planning a trip out from Bend to Colorado to see friends/relatives and "The Fort" in spring/summer. I'll swing by old friend. Clint McAuliffe | | To the Kulp family you are in our thoughts and prayers. I knew Mr. Kulp through out my high school career and have many wonderful memories of him. He was a wonderful man and will truly be missed. God Bless. jbauer | | I'm sorry to hear about Bruce's passing. I knew Mr. Kulp through his son Mike and school. He was always involved in sporting activities and was a great bambino baseball coach. He also had a way of making Biology an interesting and memorable subject. I think many of us will remember him with a smile on his face; and a clever joke to greet us. He will be missed by all of his family and former students. | | I was deeply saddened to read of the passing of Bruce. Please accept my sincere condolences. Bruce and Dennis spent many happy hours together at Lamar High School and in the Science department. They were good friends and I know Dennis respected him as a fine man, father, teacher, and friend to so many. He will be deeply missed. Doris Bruns 719-536-0276 Colorado Springs, Co. | | Bruce was my 7th grade science teacher and the reason I am now teaching science. He made such an impression on my life. He was my supervising teacher when I student taught, my mentor when I started teaching, and my friend as a colleague. I remember the accurate eraser throwing, though luckily was never on the receiving end. I have wonderful memories of the funny sayings he had that still make me smile. I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. He will be greatly missed! Sandra Sniff | | Dear Lindsay and Mike, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. We enjoyed knowing your dad. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Sam and Diana Peacock and family | | To the Family of Bruce Kulp: All of our children had Mr. Kulp as a teacher and enjoyed his enthusiasm for not only for science, but fot teaching. He was always good to them and was one of those teachers who enjoyed the students. Bruce was part of Lamar! On the lighter side, we can't help but hope the memorial contributions will be going to buy the basketball referees GLASSES! Bruce also officiated many a game that our children played in and he was a good ref. Please accept out condolences. Ken and Kathy Anderson | | We were incredibly saddened when we learned of Bruce's passing. I have so many fond memories of Bruce that date back to the day that he and his family moved from Pennsylvania to the house next door. Pam, Jeff and Rhonda were all dear friends and Bruce was one of the finest teachers I ever had. He certainly had a very positive and lasting impression on my life as well as Teri's. Not only did Bruce teach me junior high science, he also taught each of us and our children hunter safety classes. He also was notorious for throwing a chalkboard eraser with deadly accuracy. Numerous people are sharing in your loss. Our prayers are with each of you. | Bruce Kulp was a very special individual. One instance in particular pops in my head when I think of just how many things made him who he was. It was my freshman year and High School Prom. Being a rookie and my first experience with this whole prom thing Bruce volunteered to help me out by preparing dinner for two in Lamar's Willow Creek Park. This prom dinner was no ordinary picnic in the park; it was a candlelight dinner arranged on a beautiful tablecloth complete with steak, twice baked potatoes and dessert. Bruce cooked the meal, helped in table set up and made sure my friends didn’t mess up the delivery. Bruce did all this with barely being asked and with a huge grin on his face the entire time. I wasn’t even his son, just one of his son’s friends and he bent over backwards to help me have a great night. Bruce was a great person and dad and will forever be missed and loved. Nick Morris | | Subject: Bruce Kulp Mike and Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Bruce was like a second dad to me for most of our school years and I appreciated, respected and cared for him very much. It is a great loss to everyone as he was a great person, teacher, and most of all a father. I will miss the funeral but will be back in the state next week so please don't hesitate to call or email me if I can do anything or if you would just like to talk. Love you guys, Nick | | I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I know he will be greatly missed. He was an awesome teacher and always a great role model for us as kids. Terri (Carlin) Grubb, Gilbert AZ | | TO ALL THE FAMILY: I am so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort knowing that Bruce lived a full life. I will not forget watching him (and yelling "are you blind-did you not see that foul?) refing basketball games since forever. He was always so kind and appreciative of everything. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone. The world has lost a GREAT Father, Grandpa, Brother, and FRIEND. Sheila Hendrickson McTaggart (Benton's old office) |
