| Janice Leann Howell  A Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 5, 2009 for lifelong Lamar resident, Janice Leann Howell at St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Charlie Sena as celebrant. A Rosary service was held prior to the Mass at 9:30 AM with Deacon Henry Wertin reciting. Visitation for Janice was held Thursday, June 4, 2009 from 1:00PM until 7:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel. Following services, cremation will take place at the Arkansas Valley Crematory in La Junta, Colorado. A Rite of Committal and interment of the ashes will be held at a later date at Fairmount Cemetery. Janice was born on October 8, 1961 at Lamar, Colorado to Benjamin and Inez (Martinez) Franco and passed away unexpectedly at Prowers Medical Center on May 31, 2009 at the age of 47. She is survived by her children; Crystal (Daniel Orozco) Culbertson of Thornton, CO, Kayla Howell of Lamar, Lucas (Chasity) Howell also of Lamar, grandchildren; Aubriana, Mercedes, Destiny, Natalia, Isabella, Yasmin and Alexia. Janice is also survived by her parents, Ben and Inez Franco of Lamar, two sisters; Gina (Richard Perry) Germany of Mobile, AL and Anna Marie (Greg) Bockhorn of Virginia Beach, Virginia as well as her nieces and nephews; Rachel (Kyle) Owens, Sammy Bockhorn, Ryan (Kim) Rasmussen, Sara Germany and John (Kali) Germany. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Janice Leann Howell Memorial Fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home. Online Condolences | For Janice Howell --- I'm so sorry to hear of Janice's passing. I remember Janice as a little girl in school with my sister, and so often their laughter rocked the playground. Chili Suppers, school events, and family exchanges over the summer... so many memories.
