Victor Horner A Celebration of Life for longtime Pritchett resident, Victor Horner was held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Pritchett High School Gymnasium with Ian Blacker from the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment with full Military Honors followed at Springfield Cemetery with coordination between the United States Marine Corp Bravo Company Anti Terrorist Battalion, Amarillo, Texas and the Baca County V.F.W. Post #4001.
Mr. Horner was born January 5, 1925 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Victor and Hazel (Wason) Horner and passed away on February 13, 2008 at the Southeastern Colorado Hospital in Springfield, Colorado at the age of 83 years.
He is preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Douglas, his parents and a brother Dale Horner.
Victor is survived by his wife Evelyn Horner of the family home in Pritchett, children; Dennis Ray (Susan Horner of Golden, CO, Vicki (Chris) Wilkinson of Lamar; and Julian (Lana) Horner of Norman, OK. A sister-in-law Nadeen Horner of Johnstown, CO, grandchildren; Jonathan (Christy) Horner, Jeffrey Horner, AimeeJoy Horner, Angela (Shane) Pettit, Marshall (Lisa) Wilkinson, Laura, Lydia, Hannah, Heather, Victoria, Katrina, Julianna, and Austin. Great-Grandchildren Kirsten, Jacob and Evelyn. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeast Colorado Nursing home direct or in care of the funeral home office.
