Silvey Franco A Rosary Service for Silvey Franco, formerly of Lamar and Canon City, CO, was held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, November 8, 2007 with Deacon Henry Wertin officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 9, 2007 with Monsignor William Doll as celebrant. Both services will be held at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.
Silvey was born on May 28, 1950 at Lamar, Colorado to Alvaro and Catalina (Melgosa) Franco and passed away at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO on November 4, 2007 at the age of 57.
Mr. Franco is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; David Franco and Andrew Franco.
He is survived by his children; Monica Franco and Nicole Franco both of Colorado Springs as well as his brothers and sisters; Louis (Cleopatra) Franco of Fort Collins, CO, Ben (Inez) Franco of Lamar, Nina (Ray) Velasquez of Fort Collins, CO, Dan (Sandy) Franco of Burr Oak, KS, Romana (Rodger) Arithson of Greeley, CO, Carmen (Dan) Melgosa of Pueblo West, CO, Bernadine Pipkin of Chicago, IL and Theresa (Bryan) Sonburg of Chandler, AZ as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
