Nathan Kirkwood Dickson
A Service of Celebration for Lamar Resident, Nathan K. Dickson was held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Ian Blacker of the Lamar Christian Church officiating. Interment followed in the Fairmount Cemetery.
Nathan was born May 27, 1981 at Guymon, Oklahoma to Mick and Carleta (Hughes) Schwartz and passed away at his home on October 4, 2008 at the age of 27.
There will be no public visitation, a private family gathering will be held for family only.
Nathan is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Earl and Rita (Hughes) Wagner, and great grandparents Clell and Odie Johnson. 
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Jones of Lamar; son, Traigen Dickson of Lamar, unborn son, Uriah Evan Dickson, parents; Carleta (Mick) Schwartz of Lamar, brother; Brian Schwartz of Colorado Springs, and sisters Amy Schwartz of Detroit, Michigan and Kati Dickson of Lamar. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents Dean (Patsy) Schwartz, uncle; Rodney (Erma) Hughes of Bentonville, Arkansas, grandparents; Kathy (Jack) Nutt of Springfield, CO, step-father Dave Dickson of Tempe, Arizona, and maternal grandfather; Carl Hatfield of Avoca, Arkansas. Many cousins, friends and other family also survive.

Nathan...you were more than a cousin to me, I thank you so much for being so protective of me at times! I will miss you dearly, who now will call me crazy names then follow it with a hug? I hope you are holding onto my Aunt Rita's hand (your grandma) and watch over us. I will do my best to help out Jenn and the boys. RIP we love and miss you.

To Nathan, You were my brother and my best friend. You would always comfort me and tell me everything would be ok. At a time like this I could really use your teddy bear arms to tell me that you will be ok. I can only now just imagine that you are looking over us and you will protect us from harm. For Nathan Dickson,family, and friends...........I went to school with Nathan and know he was smart and a good person. We recently lost a nephew and know what you must be feeling right now. No words that I or anyone say will heal your pain. Only time will heal your pain and even then it will all seem unreal or just a bad dream but stay strong and just pray that all will get better. He was a good person and god does things for a reason...so we realize how important people are in our lives and even if you cant't rewind time everything you do for yourself and your family from now on...make it worthwhile and always make sure they know you love them.
