For the family of Grace Best:
I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Grace. I have fond memories of her and of Lewis while I attended Wiley School. They helped welcome this little immigrant girl from Germany who could speak no English. I'll always remember them both as part of my growing-up years. Sigrid Wagner Horner

| For the family of Grace Best: When my son David called me that he had heard about Grace's passing, I was really susprised,as I thought she probably had passed away long ago. Since I no longer live in Colo. changes happen that I am not aware of. I remember Grace from those long ago years when we were both working for good old Wiley Schools (and Lewis, too). I remember Marlene and Jerry as my students. (I did not know Marlene was gone, too.) Grace and Lewis were so very kind to me as a new teacher there and I loved them both. Grace befriended my mother when she lived for a short time near the post office. She surely has lots of stars in her crown. Miss her, but rejoice that she is free now of earthly pain. Remembering those old days. Verna Belle Weimer-Haworth |

To Jerry and Patsy and families, Your mom was as much a part of our school days as were our teachers. As she helped serve up that delicious food in the cafeteria, she had a greeting or a smile for each of us. She and your dad were an important part of our school family, and an important part of the community. Both are and will be remembered with sincere affection.
